Types of GCMS Experiments

Training Experiment
User runs a pre-set experiment with one set of pesticide standards and one unknown. The unknown is to be determined from both the standards and from comparison of the mass spectra to NIST library mass spectra
Basic Experiments
A range of environmental samples can be analyzed. The table below indicates types of samples with links to bibliographies and to a template file for the experiment. A template file is consists of a "standard experimental conditions" whose sample list can be modified by the user. Samples are sent by the experimenter.
Advanced Experiments
In advanced experiments the user can design from scratch an entire methods file. Samples are sent by the experimenter.
